In Case You Missed This Letter !

September 1, 2020
To the Congregation of St. John Lutheran Church of Cat Spring

I am excited to report that the vote to issue a letter of call to Pastor Stephanie Stark was a resounding yes. We had a total of 60 voting members in attendance at church, and 5 attended virtually. This far exceeded the necessary quorum of 52, and the vote was unanimous!

Stephanie has actually started work today, and will be in the pulpit on Sunday. Being the first Sunday of the month, we will also have communion. Although not officially ordained yet, the bishop has given her special dispensation to give communion. Stephanie and the bishop, Mike Rinehart, are working out the date of her ordination. Hopefully later this month or maybe the next.

The parsonage remodel is complete. The flooring contractor has finished and the floors look great. Ruth Walker is getting the blinds. We are looking for volunteers to help clean the house, set the refrigerator, hang the blinds and a couple odds and ends. We would like to do this on Saturday, the 5th starting around 9:00. Please come out and lend a hand.

Stay Safe, and Thank God for Our Blessings.
